We began in our present form in 1984 when 30 year veteran steel fabricator, Harry Neuman purchased Tempe Welding from Tempe Welding and Crane. The original company existed since the 1950's, and Tempe Crane is still in business, but is unrelated to T.W. Steel Corporation. Our name changed with our location in 1994 from Tempe Welding on McClintock Street to T.W. Steel Corporation on Hamilton Street in Chandler, Arizona.
Projects
For the past 24 years, we have fabricated structural and miscellaneous steel for projects as small as high-end custom homes, and as large as five-story commercial buildings, malls, and hospitals; from stairs, canopies, and trash gates to innovative architectural detail like that on our Tempe Gateway project with Opus. We pride ourselves on our capability and flexibility to serve our customers on a wide range of projects, and on our continuing efforts to improve as we grow.
Facility
T.W. Steel Corp. occupies fifteen acres and consists of 40,000 sq. feet of office, maintenance and fabricating areas. The fabricating areas consist of about seven acres under roof. We have our own "in house" detailing and we can detail joists in order to shorten delivery time. We do all our own fabrication and erection. We have approximately 38 people as part of our team - 4 in the Field, 24 in the Shop, and 11 in the front office.
Capacity
Last year, our volume was in excess of 5 million dollars. We stand ready to help you with your steel needs, no matter how small. Our scope of work includes heavy and light structural steel miscellaneous metals, metal deck and open web joists.
